Will the Google Panda update affect my site?

As a blogger and search engine consultant I’m often stunned by the shockingly low rates offered by some website owners seeking copy. How could they expect a piece on any subject to be well researched and written, fully rounded and presented when they were offering the likes of $3.50 per 500 words? Correlation between Google Farmer Update and Social Media Buzz?

First of all I have to say that on the whole I see the Google Farmer update as a positive change, a move towards a better quality of search, but I say “on the whole” as there is no doubt some collateral damage in the so-called ‘War on Spam’. What is the Long Tail of Search?

Successful search engine optimisation campaigns are often born from extensive keyword research. There are always ultimate targets set like; “I want to rank for (1 or 2 keyword phrase)”. What about the longer phrases? These are the keyword phrases that aren’t as popular, with everybody in that industry not actively trying to rank for it as it doesn’t have a high search rate – this is referred to as long-tail search and can account for...
