If, as expected, O2 continue to sell the iPhone with their current 'unlimited data' package (allowing users to surf the Web for no extra charge), it's highly likely that Orange and Vodafone will have to follow suit.
This means that users new to the iPhone are likely to use the Internet far more frequently than on their previous mobile phone where Web browsing incurred additional fees.
As the numbers of iPhone users is expected to increase towards the end of 2009, now may be a good time to consider whether creating a version of your site specifically for the iPhone (or mobile phones in general) is a good idea. We've previously wrtitten about how this can be achieved using a variety of methods, see our article Should you build a mobile version of your Web site? for more information.
