The Brief
Derby City Primary Care Trust required an updated Web site complete with full Content Management System and a fresh new design.
The Process
After an initial consultation stage Zen Web Solutions were able to ascertain the key elements required and how the site should be structured.
The new site was designed to be easy to navigate so all patients are able to access service information within a few clicks. The most important and frequently requested information, such as the details of emergency dentists, out of hours service and the PALS (Patient Advice & Liaison Service), are now available within a single click from the homepage.
The Results
The site is now being updated on a daily basis by NHS Derby City to give the most up-to-date information possible. The site is also accessible for those users with poor eyesight or who cannot use a mouse. Access keys and keyboard navigation are available plus the ability to resize text and change its colour. A raft of advice geared towards healthy living, latest news articles and useful documents from the Primary Care Trust are also available on the site.
