The Brief
Hopwood Hall College is based in Greater Manchester, situated on two campuses in Rochdale and Middleton. The college offers a wide range of both part and full time courses including A-Levels, work based apprenticeship programmes, vocational courses and higher education.
Hopwood Hall required a new Web site designed to address the needs of diverse audiences from potential and current students, through to adult learners and employers.
The Process
Audience interaction was a key focus of the new Web site and Zen incorporated a range of interactive elements to facilitate this. For new and potential students, the opportunity to build their own personalised prospectus through the interactive prospectus builder allows the individual to focus on the courses that are relevant and of interest to them. Other interactive mediums include social bookmarking, text message alerts, opinion polls and student feedback.
The Results
With the implementation of these online engagement tools, Zen Web Solutions has provided Hopwood with the opportunity to engage with a much wider audience and at the same time provided the general community with a host of interesting ways to communicate with their local college. Zen Web Solutions provided a site with targeted information and up to the minute course details for the full range of services that the college provides.
