Renault Retail

Renault Retail are a national network of over twenty automotive dealerships responsible for selling 1 in every 5 Renaults in the UK. As they are 100%-owned by Renault, with an annual turnover of £600m and a team of 1,400 full-time employees, their Web site requirement was for a leading edge presence befitting a company of their standing within the market place.

The Brief

It was felt that their old site was dated, and performing little in the way of lead generation. Renault Retail were looking for a best of breed supplier who could provide not only a Web site, but also advice and guidance as to how to take their online strategy forward.

The Process

Working with various departments within Renault, Zen proposed and subsequently developed a site that delivered that vision, allowing Renault to feature new car ranges as well as their entire range of used car stock. Clear calls to action were designed in at all stages of the user experience and the new site has delivered a significant increase in both traffic and enquiries.

The Results

AutoTrader (in association with eDigital Research) recently carried out a comprehensive study of UK car dealership Web sites. The Renault Retail site performed excellently: the ‘New Car’ home page scored very well for first impressions, coming 1st out of 20 dealers, and scoring above average in all the individual criteria. Similarly, the Used Car home page scores well for ‘First Impression’ coming 1st.
