The Brief
NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (NHS HMR) were looking for an innovative way of communicating and engaging with their community, and approached Zen Web Solutions for a cost effective solution.
The Process
In response, Zen developed a new eConsultation Web site designed to create a platform for the local community to voice their opinions on the health services in their area. Equally as important was a resource where the Trust and other borough partners could engage in the communication process and share this vital information.
The Results
The Speak up Now Web site has consequently pooled resources and enabled a closer collaboration between borough partners, ensuring the complete database of engagement information is available – at the touch of a button. Not only has this provided greater accessibility for partners, but significant cost savings have also been made by eliminating the duplication of engagements being delivered independently by each different partner.
The Web site actively encourages members of the public to get involved through details of many activities such as Readers Panels and Reference groups. News Alerts keep the community up to date with upcoming events and the latest news ,and opinion polls provide a constant stream of interaction and feedback.
Bright, clear and informative, Speak Up Now is a site that encompasses the needs of the wider community including both partners and the public, and creates an integral line of communication and sharing of information between all.
